CiDi has been deeply involved in top-level industrial planning and design, policy formulation, implementation proposals, and the construction of engineering projects in the National Connected Vehicle Pilot Zones in Hunan (Changsha), Chongqing (Liangjiang New Area), Tianjin (Xiqing), Hubei (Xiangyang), and Jiangsu (Wuxi).
In addition, CiDi has established the world's largest proactive transit bus priority system based on V2X technology in Changsha, Hunan province. This system has been promoted nationwide as the most efficient technological solution to address "peak carbon" and "carbon neutrality" in the field of transportation and has even been proposed during the national legislative sessions.
Currently, CiDi's autonomous driving and V2X solutions and products are implemented in various locations across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Xinjiang, and others.
Hunan (Changsha) National V2X Pilot Area
Participated in top-level planning and construction, deployed OBU and RSU equipment, provided V2X testing.
Hubei (Xiangyang) National V2X Pilot Area
CiDi has been deeply engaged in the construction of the Xiangyang National V2X Pilot Area. The company supports Xiangyang's goal to become the first city in the country with extensive connected vehicle applications, speeding up the intelligent transformation of traffic intersections in the central urban area.
Tianjin (Xiqing) National V2X Pilot Area
CiDi participated in the first phase of the National Connected Vehicle Pilot Zone in Xiqing, Tianjin, involving the networked and intelligent transformation of nearly 100 urban intersections. CiDi provided V2X communication, roadside integrated sensing, edge computing equipment, as well as comprehensive perception environment construction services for intersections.
Jiangsu (Wuxi) National Connected Vehicle Pilot Zone
In 2021, CiDi engaged in the establishment of an intelligent connected vehicle industry-academia-research nexus at Jiangsu Wuxi Automotive Engineering Vocational College, within the Wuxi National Vehicle Internet Pilot Zone. They installed roadside infrastructure (RSU), smart perception cameras, intelligent traffic perception computing units, and vehicle-mounted OBU devices, along with developing embedded software algorithms.
The project successfully created a cross-domain data loop for common use. This setup provided a foundation for the large-scale application of intelligent connected vehicles, innovative applications of autonomous driving technology, and the development of a new intelligent transportation system in the Wuxi Connected Vehicle Pilot Zone.
Chongqing (Liangjiang New Area) National V2X Pilot Area
The consortium including CiDi was awarded the bid for the Phase II project of V2X cooperation at the Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. The project aims to create a distinctive 3D intelligent transportation scenario in the mountain city, and is the western region's first 'carbon neutrality' intelligent connected vehicle demonstration area.
