The Chongqing Suburban Railway Bishan-Tongliang Line Commences Initial Operation, with CiDi Ensuring Travel Safety

On January 2nd, the Chongqing suburban railway line from Bishan to Tongliang ("Bi-Tong Line") officially commenced its initial operation. The line stretches 37.5 kilometers from Tongliang West Station in the west to Bishan Station in the east, including 10.5 kilometers of underground track, 16 kilometers of elevated track, and 11 kilometers of ground-level track, with a designed maximum operating speed of 140 kilometers per hour. The Bi-Tong Line is a significant strategic project aimed at promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the integrated development of the main metropolitan area. It also serves as a demonstration line for the integration of high-speed rail, regional railways, and subways in Chongqing.
