On July 28, People's Daily featured CiDi on its front page in an article titled "Innovation-Driven and Digitally Empowered: Hunan Cultivates Its Advantages in Advanced Manufacturing". The article highlighted the province's strategic commitment to advancing its manufacturing sector through technological breakthroughs, fostering industrial innovation, and accelerating the development of a modern industrial system.

The article spotlighted CiDi for its leading role in autonomous technology deployment:

"Fifty-six autonomous driverless mining trucks operate seamlessly alongside over 500 manually driven trucks at a large-scale open-pit coal mine, showcasing CiDi's intelligent driving technology in action. "

As noted by Wei Ma, vice chairman of CiDi,"Our rapid growth has been driven by independent innovation."

Mixed fleet operation is one of CiDi's core competencies. As early as 2024, CiDi deployed mixed-operation projects for coal extraction and dumping scenarios, where autonomous and manually driven fleets share the same operational environment. Its autonomous system reliably detects surrounding vehicles and accurately predicts their movements, without requiring any sensors or terminals on manually operated trucks.

Throughout the production cycle, CiDi's autonomous driverless trucks navigate shared roads, intersections, and work zones alongside manned vehicles, performing complex maneuvers such as merging, overtaking, navigating roundabouts, and queuing with consistent safety and precision, all without any special operation.

In response to client needs, CiDi rapidly developed precision coal stacking functionality enabling vehicles to autonomously identify optimal dumping locations and complete stacking processes with exceptional accuracy. 

In contrast with irregular piles formed by human drivers, coal stacks created by CiDi's autonomous trucks—the neatly squared example highlighted in the red box on the right—are uniform, orderly, and geometrically precise.
